How can a contractor balance quality and price when choosing an elevator? This project in the West Bank of Palestine shows one way. Our client was the contractor for a new hotel. He needed a 450kg passenger elevator that met CE certification, had the same quality as KONE elevators, and stayed within budget.

Our Solution
After several discussions, we agreed to use the same key parts that KONE uses:
-
Montanari traction machine
-
Wittur door system
-
Monarch control system
With these core components, the elevator could meet international performance and safety standards. At the same time, BDFUJI offered a more competitive price. With this balance of quality and cost, the contractor chose BDFUJI. The elevator was delivered and installed in 2021.
Elevator Size and Configuration
The passenger elevator has a load capacity of 450kg, which means it can carry up to six guests at one time. The cabin size is about 1.1 meters deep, 1.4 meters wide, and 2.3 meters high. It is finished in stainless steel, making it strong, durable, and easy to clean.
The Wittur door system runs quietly and reliably. The door opening is 800mm wide and 2100mm high, wide enough for guests with luggage. All operations are managed by the Monarch control system, which gives fast response to floor calls and smooth rides at a speed of 1.0 m/s.
For safety, the elevator includes CE-certified devices such as an over-speed governor, automatic braking, and an emergency power return system. Inside the cabin, LED lighting reduces power use and keeps the space bright and comfortable.

The Result
Only 25 days after the order, we delivered a safe, CE-certified passenger elevator. It matched the quality of KONE elevators while staying within the contractor’s budget. By combining world-class parts with competitive pricing, BDFUJI not only completed this project but also built a strong partnership. Over the next two years, we continued to work closely with this client on new projects.
